Color Grey Hair To Some Light Ash Blonde

Being of low melanin levels, grey hair is resistant to colour.

Gray hair is inherently onerous to colour, and Frequently involves using dyes or progressive hair coloring. Many brands, such as Clairol, Redken, L'Oreal and Satin Color offer light ash blonde hair coloring with gray hair in mind, since light ash blonde is geared towards lighter hair shades. Light ash blonde is a Scandinavian shade, being the most common hair color in Finland, and has significant ash tones not unlike gray hair.2. Apply the coloring to your hair. Use the applicator tip to part your hair into small sections.

Mix the coloring and activator into the applicator bottle according to the manufacturer's directions. The mixing processes vary according to different brands and coloring systems. When the color and activator are mixed, the two are combined. Shake until thoroughly blended and thickened.

Following the instructions of the hair coloring product chosen is important, as certain brands have a different coloring process depending on the system type, which are temporary, semi-permanent or permanent.

Instructions

1. Begin applying color at the roots.

3. Work the color throughout your hair from the roots to the ends using your gloved hands. Allow your hair to sit for at least 45 minutes after the coloring is thoroughly applied. Although longer than recommended for most hair colors, 45 minutes ensures the gray is fully colored.

4. Wash your hair with the supplied color rinse. Work the rinse into a lather using warm water. Rinse until the water runs clear. Some coloring systems also provide a color-sealing conditioner to apply after the rinse. Dry and style your light ash blonde hair as normal.
