Design a Concert Flyer Using Publisher


Make the text large so the name stands out. Write the band’s name in the text box. Highlight the text and center it in the text box. Click on the "Fill Bucket" located in the tool bar and choose a fill color.


Open Microsoft Publisher. The program will open to a page which allows you to choose a popular publication type. Choose "Blank Page Sizes" and click on "Letter 8 1/2 x 11." Under Customize, choose a color scheme. Click "Create" on the lower left-hand side to create your document.


3. From the top toolbar, choose "Insert." From the pull-down menu, choose "Picture" and click on "Picture from File." Choose the band picture that you plan on using.


4. Resize the photo to fit within the flyer’s guidelines by click and holding onto the handles on the side of the photo. Click on the middle of the photo and move the picture to its position on the concert flyer.


5. Click on "Insert" and choose "Text Box." Place the Text Box at the top of the concert flyer. Choose "Text Type and Size." 7. Click on "Insert" and add another Text Box between the picture and the bottom of the concert flyer. Choose the same text used for the concert date, but make it slightly smaller than the previous text boxes. Write the concert location, time, ticket price, and add a contact phone number where people can call for more information. Make the name of the concert venue larger than the rest of the text.


8. Proofread your document. Make sure all the information is correct. Save your document. Now print your concert flyer and you are ready to post it.
