Write Address Labels

Place the address label on the center of the envelope, parallel to its length, on the face opposite of the side where the envelope opens up. If you are sending a package, place the address on the center of the longest side of the package, parallel to its length.



3. Write the street address on the next line. The street number should go first, followed by street name and apartment number. For example, "123 Main Street, Apartment 1." If you're sending something to a post office box, write the PO Box number in this line.


4. Write the city, state and ZIP Code in the next line. For example, "New York, NY 10005."


5. Write the country you're sending the mail to in the next line if you're sending something across international lines.
