Modern Sweater includes many non-for-profit Craft museums that depend on membership donations and resident involvement. Featuring many community artists, museums carry Craft displays such as drawings, paintings, glass works and performing arts exhibits. Some museums in Latest Jumper are founded by limited artists and some involve the Craft donkeywork of resident hovering institution students.
Belskie Museum of Art and Science
The Belskie Museum of Craft and Science, located in Closter, features Craft created by community and international artists. The museum was founded by the Closter Lions Club who wanted to demonstrate the works of a local, Abram Belskie, who was a sculptor and medical illustrator. The museum features works created by students and instructors from the Craft Students Group in Original York Megalopolis and the Vytlacil Institute of Pleine Aire Delineation in Sparkill, Recent York. Students from the senior assemblage at Northern Dale Limited Colossal College build their own Craft display Everyone May as allotment of the faculty's resident overhaul programme. The museum is free lunch and dehiscent Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The exhibits modify regularly so research the website for the happening exhibits.
The Hiram Blauvelt Art Museum
Workshops and classes are offered through the museum and include yoga, lectures, creative arts classes and other art-related topics. The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on Sundays from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. The latest workshops and classes can be viewed by visiting the museum's website. The museum later decided to feature art created by contemporary wildlife artists. The museum is open Wednesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Different artists are featured at different times so call the museum or visit the website to see the current artist.
Museum of American Glass
The Museum of American Glass, located in Millville, allows visitors to watch world class glass art created in the Glass Studio by skilled artists. Tour the Museum of American Glass with its notable collection of 6,500 objects on display, arranged in chronological order according to the year created, including early American bottles, flasks, mason jars and paperweights to modern glass works from artists today. The museum is open Friday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with staff members on hand at all times to reply any questions that visitors may have.
Noyes Museum of Art
The Noyes Museum of Art joined with the Richard Stockton College in Oceanville. Together, they planned to include educational opportunities, events, exhibits and performances between the two locations. Stockton College has its own art gallery and is home to one of the area's top Performing Arts Center.Established in 1957, the Hiram Blauvelt Craft Museum is located in Oradell and features the private wildlife art and big game collections of the late philanthropist, conservationist and collector, Hiram Blauvelt. The museum, one of five in the USA that features displays of wildlife art, is housed in an early 1890s cedar-shingled carriage house. It also includes paintings and drawings of selected pieces from the collection, drawn and painted by visiting artists.
