Smudge Oil Pens

Oil pencils valuation the aggressively decisive artist.

Instructions

Dip a brush or rag in turpentine or an odourless mineral spirit (OMS) such as Gamsol.2. Sweep the brush or rag across the universe of oil pencil colour to be smudged or blended. Confess the turpentine or OMS to start to soften and displace the colour.


7. Allow the smoothed color to dry for 20 minutes. Return to the areas you have worked and build up texture again using linear and vertical strokes with dry oil pencil.
