For almost three decades, the city of Gainesville in northern Florida has hosted this free arts festival in early November in its historic downtown district. The event, which consistently ranks among the top 200 fine-art shows in the country, attracts more than 100,000 visitors for two days of exhibits by 250 artists working in all mediums from watercolors to ceramics to photography.
