Family Poster Board Ideas

Effect a poster board presentation of your family.

Creating a presentation approximately your family on a poster board is a general growth in schools, expressly at the elementary consistent. It is as well Often done at memorial services, weddings, family reunions and other family get-togethers. Beget your poster board sparkle, all the more literally, by using some fertile ideas.

Family tree

Coin a family tree on your poster board. Turn your poster board vertically, then draw a tree on the board with a brown marker or crayon.

Collage

Glue a photo of each member of the family onto the poster board. For added effect, make the photos a head shot, with the person's mouth open. Then draw a speech bubble coming from that person's mouth. Use glitter glue or metallic markers to add sparkle to your sun and flowers.

House

Draw a large house on your poster board and glue photos of family members "peeking" out of each window of the house, including the front door. Family pets can also be placed in the photo, perhaps playing in the yard in front of the house. This works best for family poster boards that feature only the immediate family or those family members who live at home with you.

Timeline

Create a timeline on a horizontal piece of poster board (you may have to attach two pieces together). Then place important family events on the timeline such as "Bob and Jane got married!" "Darcy graduated from college!" and "Baby boy was born!" Start your timeline with the birth of grandpa and go up from there. Use photos and quotes whenever you can to make the timeline more interesting. Use different colored markers for each member of the family.

Place a photo of each family member on the end of each branch of the tree and write his or her name on the branch. Put the oldest member on the top of the tree and work your way down from there. Add construction paper or silk leaves, flowers at the base of the tree, a sun in the sky and other colorful touches.

Inside the speech bubble, write something about that person. For example, one of the daughters in the family could be saying, "My name is April! I am Carrie's sister! I like to read books!"
