Create A Homemade Keyblade

Keyblades are solo weapons from the regular video diversion series "Kingdom Hearts." Shaped like giant keys, the characters use them as melee weapons to defeat their enemies. Coat the keyblade with primer and let it dry according to the instructions. Paint your keyblade using spray paint for the large areas and acrylic for the small details. Once the paint is dry, spray the keyblade with clear sealant and let it dry completely before handling.

Pick a keyblade that you'd like to make, and find a clear picture of it. Decide on the scale of your finished keyblade and have the image enlarged to the finished size. Cut out the keyblade and tape it to your plywood.

2. Trace around the keyblade image to form an outline on the plywood. Remove the image and tape. Put on your safety goggles and cut out the outline using the jigsaw. Sand any rough edges.

3. Fill your bowl with water, and wet the wood slightly. Mold the 3D elements, like the sides of the handle and blade, out of the modeling clay, pressing it to the moist wood. Once you've finished the design, let the clay dry for about a week.

4. The keyblades come from the various game worlds, and each has a unique theme or design. You can make your own keyblade to add authenticity to a "Kingdom Hearts" costume or to display on your wall.
