Instructions

1. Select the Helix drawing template you want to use. The templates all have negative, or cut out, spaces that can be used to trace shapes onto another surface. Some common types include the circle template, graphics template and the lettering template. The circle template includes many circles of different sizes, as well as some ellipses. The graphics template includes more complex shapes like arrows, word balloons and hearts. The lettering template features letters of different sizes and font.

2. Lay the template down on the drawing surface. Clean template after with soap and water.

3. Use other media, such as acrylic paint, spray paint or ink to trace the template shapes as well. Fill the open area of the shape up with the paint or ink. Let dry and then lift off to reveal the shape. Trace the shape you want by placing your pencil point up against the edge of whichever shape you desire on the template and moving the pencil along the edge. Follow the template with your pencil point to create the shape on your drawing surface. Lift the template to reveal the drawn shape.
