Write A Naga Uta

A Naga Uta or Nagauta is a Japanese contour of poetry which literally way "spread out song," is an accessible cut to memorize. Finish your Naga Uta with two lines of seven syllables each. You poem should look like this: 5/7/5/7/5/7/5/7/7 or however long you wish to make it, as long as the last two lines have the same syllable count.4.



1. Bring about your Naga Uta by counting absent five syllables for your antecedent edge and seven syllables for your moment line, and repeat that pattern throughout the length of your poem. It should look like this: 5/7/5/7/5/7.
