Craft A Seashell Wreath

Administer your home a beachy vibe with a seashell wreath.

Bring a touch of the seaside to your home with a seashell wreath. With a wreath form and a collection of seashells, you can easily craft this wreath yourself. If you live near or have vacationed at a beach, use shells that you've collected on your own. If you don't have access to a beach, purchase shells from your local craft store. Use the finished product to decorate your front door or any room in your home during the summer season or all year long.

Instructions

1. Cover the wreath with Spanish moss. Cover one quarter of the wreath with hot glue. Scrunch up Spanish moss and place it over the area covered with hot glue before it dries. Upon covering one section of the wreath, cover the next section in the same manner until the entire wreath is covered with moss.

2. Apply seashells to the wreath. Cover the bottom of one side of each shell with a good amount of hot glue. Press the shell onto the wreath, hot glue side down. Place the shells in a haphazard grouping --- small shells on top of large shells, a cluster of small shells next to a large shell --- or arrange them any way you'd like. Set the wreath aside to dry.

3. Cut a length of decorative ribbon. String it through the top of the wreath. To add further embellishment to the wreath, attach faux pearls on top of some of the shells with hot glue. Use white pearls or a combination of colors.

Tie the two ends together in a knot. Use the ribbon to display the wreath on a door, a wall or any place else you'd like.4. Add faux pearls.
